Community Wellness and Resilience – Manitoba
Overview
Community Wellness and Resilience – Manitoba
The Community Wellness and Resilience program recognizes that economic empowerment cannot happen in isolation from mental health, family stability, cultural identity, and personal well-being. Black communities in Manitoba carry the weight of systemic racism, intergenerational trauma, migration stress, and social isolation — and yet, the resources available to address these challenges are often not culturally responsive or accessible.
This program provides holistic wellness programming that addresses the whole person — mind, body, spirit, and community. Through culturally grounded workshops, wellness circles, family strengthening activities, and connections to mental health resources, this program builds the resilience that underpins all other forms of success.
